00I.overall personality:droiture is a very emotional man, though he tries his hardest to conceal his feelings. he's a man who is selfless, doing everything for others before trying to do anything for himself. he bottles up his many feelings inside him, until they come out in an explosive fit of rage. only annabella's singing saves him in this regard, in which it calms him down and puts him to sleep. droiture has been known to be overwhelmed extremely easily, to the point where he has anxiety attacks when outside his preferred comfort zone. His schizophrenia is a severe issue in his daily life, and sometimes he will black out and not remember long spans of time in which the people around him will swear he did some strange and uncharacteristic things.

VIII. overall history droiture was born via c-section to a japanese mother and wealthy french father in paris in the year nineteen hundred eighty seven. from a young age, he was able to speak three languages (english, japanese, french), although his father did not speak either english nor japanese like his mother, who died in childbirth due to a reaction to the sedative given to her during her c-section. richard was distant towards his son, who carried the face of his mother. he was not abusive, but rather absentminded and somewhat neglectful, which left droiture with a severe 'daddy' complex and abandonment issues. helena, a woman in the area, came in to be droiture's governess (nanny) when he was four, and brought along her three year old daughter, annabella. from then, life was somewhat normal, though droiture always had the feeling he didn't belong, and the problem was made worse when he began to hear voices in his head at the age of eleven. upon a visit to the local psychiatric hospital, droiture was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, and put on a medication regimen. droiture's teen years were hell with his condition, leaving him with little-to-no friends other than annabella, who always stayed by his side. when droiture and annabella hit their early twenties, richard and helena married, making the next christmas dinner ridiculously awkward as droiture and annabella confessed they'd been dating one another for years. droiture's relationship with his father, and annabella's with her mother, soon grew apart as the new step siblings left lereve manor to live in america together and live a life as lovers, not siblings. unfortunately, soon after they moved to america, annabella came down with the same cancer her father, alexander, died from, and it's been a struggling battle to keep her healthy since then. droiture now works multiple jobs and goes to night school to support his ailing sister, and the stress is beginning to take it's toll on his own health, both physically and mentally.
